Join us Saturday, September 11, to hear speaker, Joan Bodey. She works for the Greene County Sheriff’s Department as a C.O.P. (Citizens on Patrol).
Joan will discuss her duties at the sheriff’s office, the C.O.P. Academy, crimes in Greene County, stats, and more. Formerly, she worked in this capacity in Minnesota, so regardless of the setting of your book, you'll hear valuable information and be able to compare crime in both northern and midwestern states.
Come armed (pun intended) with questions. Maybe you have a character who is a sheriff, dispatcher, or even a criminal? Possibly your character is dating the sheriff or you just want some realistic lingo for your story. Whatever the reason, don't miss this meeting. See you Saturday!

I can't wait for this meeting. I hope everyone can make it.
Joan is very interesting and lively. It sounds like she wears many hats at the sheriff's office. Can't wait. See everyone soon.
Hi
Is this our Joan Bodey from Marshfield???
I think so!
It will be interesting.
I'd quit trying to leave comments because they weren't being accepted. Thought I'd give it one more try--
Looking forward to the meeting this Saturday--sounds like it will be VERY interesting. Hope to see everyone there.
Joan's presentation was wonderful. I didn't realize it was a volunteer position.
Very interesting.
Joan was terrific--I couldn't believe that it was volunteer, either. WOW! The story behind her motivation to do such a thing must be incredible.
I remembered when the crash of the two planes made headlines. My brother pilots a small plane and so her reference to that incident really caught my attention.
My heart broke when she described the rescue effort on behalf of the children tossed from the bridge. Wouldn't you know the mother would survive while one of the innocents perished--we all hope for justice on that little one's behalf.
Great presentation Joan--hope you come back and share with us again.
