Contest For Members

Hello Sleuths,

It's time for another impromptu contest for our membership.

Look at the picture. Using all the elements in the picture, create a story of 500 words or less. Be sure to include a crime. Entries will be read at the September meeting. Members in attendance will vote for the best story.

Just in case you can't tell from the photo, the elements are: a cell phone, one earring, an ashtray, lit cigarette, lighter, and a gun.

Let's write!

Shirley Jane Rose was my dad's sister and would have been my aunt if she had not have been murdered first. The way the blasted my grandmother in the papers is just awful and the fact that these murderers still run free makes me sick to my stomach. My family still hurts over this and I would love to see it solved and the people responsible for this crime to be convicted to the fullest extent the law allows. We all have a pretty good idea who did this and even if you don't get convicted of this crime while alive you will meet your maker soon enough.
